Richard "Rick" Lloyd Miley

Richard “Rick” Lloyd Miley, age 84, of West Alexandria, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born September 23, 1937 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Smith) Miley.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis Jenia Miley, daughter JoEllen Tapalman (Gene), daughter Pamela Hendrickson (Dale), and son Richard R. Miley (Sandy); grandchildren Aaron Tapalman, Jenna Tapalman, Kara Tapalman Shupert, Rachel Miley-Hazel, Misty Lawson, Michelle Dean and Niki McClure; great grandchildren Jack, Will, and CaitlinTapalman, Lincoln and Henry Shupert, Logan Windmiller and Madyson Duff; sisters Ginger Carter and Linda Miley.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Barbara Miley Bohne and Brother Bob Miley.  Rick retired from Armco Steel after 32 years of employment as a diesel mechanic.  He loved to work on restoration of his old cars, go to swap meets and spend his summers in Ohio and his winters in Florida.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 4:00 pm until time of funeral service at 5:00 pm at the Lindloff Zimmerman Funeral Home, 67 West Dayton Street, West Alexandria, OH with Pastor Burt Wolf officiating.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.  Online condolence and other remembrances may be sent by visiting www.lindloffzimmerman.com.
