Mr. Wells was my history teacher and high school golf coach. His ability to make learning both fun and challenging at the same time made him one of my most memorable and influential teachers. There are also so many great memories and learnings from the golf course. Coach, I'm sure you'll be hitting your patented knock down "pitch chip", that all of us were too slow to adopt, from one of the finest courses in heaven. Rest in peace. You'll be missed.

Coach Wells, RIP! I was lucky enough to have him as my golf coach at Talawanda and at Miami Hamilton. He cared about every person on that team and loved teaching us about the game and about life. I'll never forget the team van rides and the life lessons he taught! You will be missed!

Vicky and Jane,
One reason I chose education as my career was because of the influence your dad had on me as my teacher and golf coach. My successful 35 year career as an educator was due in great part to the example he set. Just like your dad, I started the golf program at the high school where I taught. His teaching style made all of us feel as if we mattered and his expectations of us as members of his golf team made me a better person. While it must be excruciatingly painful to lose him, take solace in the knowledge that he had an amazingly positive impact on the lives of countless individuals over his teaching career. That is not something one can put a price on. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Mr Wells made my high school years so memorable. He was the kindest softball coach I ever had . He sure put up with a lot of shenanigans from the girls softball team through the years! I am forever greatful for the knowledge he shared with me and the humor. Honored to have known him. Blessings to his family.
