Robert E. Davis

Robert E. Davis, age 75, of Eaton, OH passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, OH.  He was born April 9, 1948 in Richmond, IN to the late Robert M. and Dorothy M. (Moore) Davis.  He was a 1966 graduate of Eaton High School; was a U.S. Air Force Veteran that served during the Vietnam War; was a Preble County Deputy Sheriff for several years, Preble County Bailiff; and former Camden Police Chief; was also the owner of Shaver’s Ice Cream for several years; was a volunteer Eaton Little League coach for 24 years; and was a longtime supporter of Eaton Community School sports.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Vicki Maish.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Davis; son Bart (Angie) Davis; daughter Amy (Chad) Ferguson; son Brad (Missy) Davis; grandchildren: Kamryn, Jordyn, Ty, J.T., Drew, Ella, Jay, Maddyn and Roman; sisters Linda Sue (Sterling) Wright, Joy (Bill) Shockley and Hope (Ross) Mullins; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.  Funeral service for Bob will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 29, 2024 also at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.
