Ronald G. Barnhart

Ronald G. Barnhart, age 82, of Eaton, OH passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 22, 1943 in Miamisburg, OH to the late Irvin and Pearl (Anspach) Barnhart. .

Ron attended Miamisburg Schools. He drove over the road and local semi-trucks for many years, retiring from Saia Trucking Company in 2008. He was also a lifelong farmer; was a member of the Farm Bureau where he served on the board; and member of the Pork Producers. He also enjoyed camping and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Amanda Barnhart; son-in-law Greg Bodnaruik; brothers Melvin, Russell and Norman Barnhart; sisters and brothers-in-law Evelyn (Ed) Long, Vera (Glen) Long and Judy Stone; brother-in-law Bob Eldridge; and sisters-in-law Ellen Barnhart and Patty Barnhart.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marcia Barnhart; daughters Christine (Jeff) Maggard, Cheri Bodnaruik and Amy (David) Daugherty; grandchildren Curtis (Christina) Maggard, Amber (Cody) Byrd, Jessica (Eric) Franklin, Tomara Bodnaruik, Adeline Bodnariuk; seven great grandchildren; brother Eldon (Linda) Barnhart; sister Lois Eldridge; brother-in-law Glenn Stone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Miamisburg, OH. Following graveside services there will be a celebration of life meal at Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton starting at 3:30 pm.
