Ruby (Garber) Deaton, daughter of John & Maude (Turner) Garber was born on September 27th 1925 in Pratt, Kansas. She peacefully passed from this life to eternity in the early morning hours of May 19, 2026.
She moved with her parents to Modesto, California in her early teens. She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church on December 2, 1945. She remained faithful to her vows until death. She was united in marriage to Clifford Deaton on June 1, 1947.
They shared life for over 63 years until Dad’s passing in 2010. This union was blessed with 6 sons and 3 daughters. Alan (Ruth), Julie (Brenton) Wise, Wayne (deceased) (Kathy), Ward (Becky), Bruce (Julie), Brian (Diane), Carol (Ren) Rumble, Patty (John) Ritter, and Daryl (Geneva).
She is survived by 32 grandchildren, 115 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Wayne, grandson, John Deaton and great granddaughters, Jana Sink and Adelyn Bowman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Lower Twin Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6715 Quaker Trace Road, Camden, OH 45311. Funeral service for Ruby will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 30, 2026 also at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting the family with arrangements.
