Ruth Layne

Ruth Layne, age 82, of Eldorado, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, OH.  She was born March 28, 1940 in Manuel, KY to the late Daniel Boone and Molly (Duff) Hutchinson.  She worked for many years at the Eldorado Grocery Store.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John J. Layne; grandson Randy Stiver; and numerous brothers and sisters.  She is survived by daughter Peggy (Rick) Stiver of Monroe, OH; son Rick (Suzy) Layne of Sebring, FL; grandchildren: Richard (Karen) Yeager-Stiver, Staci (Darren) Leis, Sarah (Nathan) Morrison, and Stephanie (Shane) Cremeans; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Prices Creek Old German Baptist Cemetery in Eldorado, OH.  Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.  Online condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family by visiting www.gardfuneralhome.com.
