Scott Allen Smith

Aug 1, 1969 — Jun 7, 2026

In loving memory of Scott Smith, who passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at the age of 56, after a valiant battle with heart disease. Born on August 1, 1969, in Richmond, Indiana, Scott was the beloved son of the late Jerry Allen Smith and Karen Lee (Goble) Rosfeld. He is now reunited with them in eternal peace.

Scott's life was a testament to resilience and love. He proudly graduated from Tri Village High School in 1988, where he was a dedicated member and team captain of the wrestling team, later embarking on a life journey marked by hard work, dedication, and an unyielding spirit. A skilled craftsman, Scott worked as an Auto Body Technician, a role in which he was respected for his expertise and commitment.

Beyond his professional life, Scott was a man deeply connected to the world around him. He found solace and joy in nature, often spending his days camping in the woods, fishing, and hunting. These pursuits were not just hobbies; they were Scott's way of appreciating the beauty and tranquility of life. The range was another of Scott's sanctuaries, where he could hone his skills and enjoy moments of camaraderie with friends and family.

Scott was known for his direct approach to life. He spoke his mind with a sincerity that was both refreshing and admirable, a quality that endeared him to many. Yet, beneath his straightforward demeanor was a heart of immense kindness and generosity. Scott's big heart was a wellspring of love and care, a beacon for his family and friends.

Scott leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his children Lucas Smith, Aubrey Smith, along with his brothers Brian Smith, Michael Smith (spouse: Sandra), Eric Smith and sister Lisa (Smith) Ebersole (spouse: Vincent). Scott was also a cherished uncle to his nephews Jacob Heck, Jordan Heck, Keith Smith, and Jacob Parrish, and his nieces Megan Heck, Morgan Moody, and Danielle Rivera. His love and guidance will continue to influence and inspire them.

A service to honor Scott's life will be held on July 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Covenant of Peace Church, located at 4745 U.S. Route 127, Eaton, Ohio, 45320 with Pastor Ken Harbaum officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many with his strength, love, and unwavering honesty.

Scott's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit and the memories he created will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. As we remember Scott, let us celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the moments we were fortunate to share with him. Rest in peace Scott, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
