Steve Eugene Shaffer

Steve Eugene Shaffer, age 64, of De Tour Village, MI and formerly of New Paris, OH, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. He was born November 28, 1953 in Greenville, OH to Loren Shaffer and Erma (Honaker) Russell. He was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia Shaffer. He is survived by his father Loren (Joan) Shaffer of New Paris, OH; mother Erma Russell of Rock Hill, SC; sisters Connie Sanders of Carmel, IN and Terri Lynn (David) Cornwell of Rock Hill, SC; uncles Leland (Helen) Shaffer of Loretto, TN, Donnie (Dixie) Shaffer of New Paris, OH, John (Leann) Shaffer of New Paris, OH and Allen Shaffer of New Paris, OH; aunt Wanda (Robert) Smith of New Paris, OH, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and girlfriend Tara Johnson of De Tour Village, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.
