Steven E. Eck

Steven E. Eck, age 56, of West Alexandria passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his residence with all of his loving family by his side.  He was born July 1, 1966 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert “Gene” and Roberta Eck.  Steve was a 1985 graduate of Twin Valley South High School.  He worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation and also was a lifelong Preble County farmer.  He enjoyed fishing, camping and most of all being with his family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by father-in-law William Peting.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Robin Eck of West Alexandria; children: Christopher William (Dustin) Eck of Camden and Kathlynn Eck of Covina, CA; brother Andrew (Jen) Eck of West Alexandria; and numerous other family members and friends.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home (formerly Lindloff-Zimmerman), 67 W. Dayton Street, West Alexandria, OH.  A funeral service for Steve will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Salem Lutheran Church, 70 E.
