Steven "Steve" H. McRill

Steven “Steve” H. McRill, age 69 of Eaton, Ohio passed away with his family by his side after fighting a long battle with cancer on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11, 2023. He was born January 19, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Arthur and Rosaline (Smith) McRill. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Steve managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his children, who he adored more than anything else in this world. Steve was a Marine Corp veteran who proudly served his country. Steve found joy in bringing happiness to others around him, sharing his love of Halloween brought him great pride every year. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brothers, Brian and Jerry McRill; in-laws, Marion Roach and Shirley Roach; brother-in-laws, Scott Chapin and Jim Roach. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy McRill; children, Brian (Kerri) McRill, Stephanie (Scott) Wills, and Arthur (Michelle) McRill; grandchildren, Erica, Ryan, Tyler, Tori, Ross, C.T., Nihla; siblings, Sandy Mullins and Tom McRill; in-laws, John Roach, Susan Chapin, Jayne (Dave) Strine, Lorna Roach, Bob (Anna Marie) Roach; as well as numerous other family members and friends. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Steves’ honor to the Preble County Veterans Association (1322 North Barron Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320).
