Teresa Anne Winkler

Jul 27, 1954 — Aug 17, 2026

Eaton, OH

Teresa Anne Winkler, age 72, of Eaton, OH went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Kettering Health Hamilton. She was born July 27, 1954 in Dayton, OH to the late Byron and LaDonna (Hull) Utz.

Teresa was a 1972 graduate of Twin Valley South High School, and she then attended Sinclair Community College to earn her Associate’s Degree in Accounting. After graduating, she worked for Rexarc in West Alexandria as an executive secretary for over 20 years until she retired to become a devoted mother to her daughter, Brenna. She was a faithful member of the Eaton Baptist Temple for 50 years, where she was a member of the Ladies’ Missionary Prayer Band. Her two favorite things to do were attend church and go to breakfast on Monday mornings with her and Jerry’s breakfast group: June and Terry Creech, Ginny Schenck, Rhonda Pennington, Linda and Jim Wick, Dalene and Kent McIntire, and Becky and Curt Brubaker. Crafting was a great passion of hers, and she would attend craft shows in Indiana with her good friend Kathy Johnson. She absolutely adored her daughter and grandchildren, and the time she spent with them was very precious to her. Family meant the world to her, and she treasured her nieces and nephews dearly. Teresa had a sweet spirit and never had a harsh word to say about anyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Gary Utz and Mike (Donna) Utz.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Winkler of Eaton; daughter Brenna (Alex) Hughes of Arcanum, OH; grandchildren Victor and Autumn; brother Donald E. Utz of West Alexandria; nieces and nephews Kim (Brett) Hickox, Sean Utz, Kyle (YaVonne) Utz, Jason (Katie) Utz, JJ (Hannah) Utz, Lance (Megan) Turner; great nieces and nephews Savannah Turner, Cole Hickox, Jake Hickox and Luke Utz; special lifelong friend/sister Dalene McIntire; special friends Carol Howard and Jean Campbell; sisters-in-law Gay Utz and Paula (Wags) Wagner; brother-in-law Larry Winkler; and various cousins and many friends.
