Thomas E. Burrowes

Thomas E. Burrowes, age 87, of New Carlisle, OH passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, OH. He was born November 25, 1938 in Dayton, OH to the late William and Vada Burrowes. 

Thomas was the owner and operator of T. E. Burrowes Excavating for many years and also enjoyed farming. Throughout Tom’s life he restored many old cars. He was a member of Medway Church in New Carlisle. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Barbara Burrowes; and brother Jim Burrowes. 

He is survived by his children Trish McKinney, Thomas (Jan) Burrowes and John (Julie) Burrowes; grandchildren Lauren Iacovone, Jordan (Sarah) Burrowes, Lane (Jessica) McKinney, Joshua (Madison) Burrowes, Sydney Burrowes, Noah (Madyson) Burrowes, Grace (Jacob) Stafford, Mandy Shoopman (fiancé Jacob Artz) and Tyler Shoopman (fiancé Holley Wiley); great grandchildren Stella & Sophia McKinney, Everly & Easton Iacovone, Owen and Palmer Burrowes, Bohdi Burrowes and Arlo Burrowes; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends; and his beloved dogs Charlie and Leah. 

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1:30 pm until time of Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, 7505 Taylorsville Rd., Dayton, OH 45424.
