Virginia K. "Ginger" Reese

Virginia K. “Ginger” Reese, age 87, of Eaton, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. She was born November 17, 1938 in Castine, OH to the late Ray and Evelyn (Cox) Strickler.

Ginger was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a devoted Christian and member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Eaton, OH. She was passionate with her ministry to children and the love of music ministry at the churches she attended.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Reese; son Daniel M. Reese; brother Richard Strickler; and sister Viola Wogoman.

She is survived by her son Justin Reese of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughters Keshia (Jeremy) Heaton, Krystal (Trevor) Parrish, Charissa Reese, Colleen Reese and Cayla Reese; numerous great grandchildren; brother Louis Strickler; sister Shirley Lutz; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 5:00 pm until time of memorial service at 6:00 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene, 201 East Lexington Road, Eaton, OH. A private interment will be held at Dayton National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First Church of the Nazarene, Eaton, OH.
