Walter E. Kreitzer

Walter E. Kreitzer, age 85, of West Alexandria, OH passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, OH.  He was born May 9, 1937 in Lewisburg, OH to the late Forest and Ethyl (Rhodes) Kreitzer.  Walter was a lifelong farmer; and retired as Road Supervisor from Twin Township in Preble County.  He served on the Preble County Fair Board for over 30 years, also serving as Past President; enjoyed raising Hereford Cattle and was a member of the Buckeye Hereford Associations; was a member of the Dayton Fancy Feather Club; was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lewisburg; and enjoyed serving meals to homeless in Dayton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ira Kreitzer; and niece April Kreitzer.  He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet Susanne “Sue” (Brown) Kreitzer; sister-in-law Barbara Kreitzer; nephew Rodney (Lori) Kreitzer; great nephew Jimmy (Whitney) Kreitzer; great great nieces Lanie and Wren Kreitzer; sisters-in-law Bernice Brown and Janet Brown; and numerous other nieces and nephews and special friends.  Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 12:30 pm until time of funeral service at 1:30 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 67 W.
