Wayne Lee Holderman, age 88 of Eaton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022. He was born November 7, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Walter and Martha (Hollenbaugh) Holderman. Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a United States Army Veteran who proudly served his country. After the military Wayne received his Bachelor's degree in education and taught Biology for over 30 years, retiring as a substitute teacher in Preble County. When not teaching in the classroom Wayne coached the Wrestling team for Trotwood Madison. Wayne also earned his LPN and cared for others for 15 years. He was also a Deputy Sheriff and a Police officer for Lewisburg, Ohio department. When not working he enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoying a nice cold adult beverage. Wayne will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a member of the Eaton VFW Post, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Eaton, and the American Legion in West Alexandria. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Holderman; sons, Max Tucker and Karl Holderman; daughter, Patricia Parks; and brothers, Rodney and Warren Holderman. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Ginger Hakes; son, Fritz Holderman; numerous grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and friends. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 3pm at Trissel Cemetery with Pastor Shawn Wilges officiating.
