William “Bill” L. Henry, age 82, of Dayton, OH passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 14, 1943 in Dayton to the late George L. and Martha Ellen (Cotterman) Henry.
Bill was a gym teacher, a counselor and a principal at Kettering Public Schools and Smith School in Oakwood. After retirement, he and his wife Nancy owned Millie’s Snack Shop in Waynesville for eight years where they made many wonderful friends. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church in Dayton. Bill was a special guy that enjoyed everyone he came in touch with and will be missed by all. He and Nancy had a great life together for 59 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul Henry.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Nancy K. Henry; brothers Mike (Kristi) Henry and George (Debbie) Henry; sister-in-law Cynthia Henry; and brother-in-law Tom (Jane) Harris.
At Bill’s request, a private graveside service will be held at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, 4417 Bigger Road, Dayton, OH 45440 or the charity of donor’s choice.
