Wilma E. Lindsey, age 92, of Eaton, OH, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Otterbein Senior Life Care Center in Middletown, OH. She was born September 19, 1926 in New Lebanon, OH to the late Aja and Mae (Dafler) Johnson. Wilma was a 1944 graduate of Dixie High School and attended Ashland College in Ohio. She was a member of the Eaton United Methodist Church since 1958, where she sang in the choir for over 50 years. In her professional life she retired in June 1990, after having been a substitute teacher for the Eaton City Schools since 1954, in the elementary buildings. She was a member of the Omicron Sigma Sorority. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Donald L. Lindsey, who passed away in 2007; and nephew David Flory. She is survived by her daughters: Susan Wallin of Dayton, OH and Melinda Wall of Camden, OH; son, Scott Lindsey of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren: Traci (Steve) Raley of Sanford, NC, Kristin (Donnie) Brock of Lexington, KY and Alex (Jody) Wall of Columbus, OH; three great grandchildren; and sister Margaret Flory and sons Michael and Jeff all of Eaton, OH. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:30 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor John Dick officiating.
